Clevedon slump as latecomers triumph
Clevedon Town 1 Evesham United 4: Due to the late arrival of the Evesham team because of traffic delays, this game started half an hour late, but the visitors were unaffected and Clevedon slumped to their third defeat of the week.
After Chris Cornes had sent three shots wide of the Clevedon goal and Richard Ball had a goal cancelled out for offside, Evesham took the lead in the 18th minute when Steve Luckett headed home a free-kick from Simon Fitter.

A shot from Cornes increased the lead two minutes later and Clevedon should have scored on the half hour when Aaron Blakemore did well to take the ball round Evesham goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan only for his shot to go wide of an open goal.
Clevedon eventually pulled a goal back in the 41st minute with a header from Josh Brigham, but Evesham restored their two-goal advantage a minute later through skipper Steve Lutz.
A double substitution at the start of the second period for the homeside saw Ben Evans and Sam Small replace Callum Fisher and Tom Billing, only for the visitors to go further ahead in the 56th minute when the unmarked Ball was allowed to shoot past Danny Greaves in the Clevedon goal.
Matt Walsh was denied a goal in the 83rd minute when Vaughan did well to keep out his shot, his only real save of the game.
