Clevedon Town's failure to convert the chances they created proved costly and they had to settle for a point in this Southern League Premier Division clash.

Manager Nick Tucker may well feel his side missed out on the chance to take three points.

Midfielder Craig Loxton had a low drive saved by Tiverton keeper Steve Book, and then Joey Evans saw his well-struck shot just clear the crossbar, before the home side's Dave Morrisey had a shot blocked.

Tiverton's Mike Humphries had a shot well held by Danny Greaves , and Ben Cleverley's 20-yard shot was held by Greaves.

With Clevedon pressurising the home defence a sweeping move created a shooting chance for close season signing from Mangotsfield United Ellis Wilmot whose shot was just off target and then Sheppard had a shot blocked by Book.

Tom Billings went close to giving his side the lead when his shot clipped the crossbar.

Clevedon should have taken the lead on the hour mark when Pete Sheppard pounced on a defensive mistake, but missed.
