Clevedon pile on misery for Winterbourne
Clevedon took no pity on winless Winterbourne after claiming a six-wicket success against the South Gloucestershire side in Bristol & Somerset Division.
Steve Paul hit 37 in Winterbourne's 156-9 with Jason Quick (4-37) and Ricky Joseph (4-42) the pick of the bowlers.
Nick Moore (42 not out) and Joseph (39) scored 105 for the fourth wicket to put Clevedon on their way to victory.
Lansdown, who were leaders before to the weekend, lost for the second match running as Stapleton defeated them by six wickets.
Midsomer Norton eased to a seven-wicket win against Ashcott & Shapwick.
Wayne Spencer top-scored with 31 in Ashcott's 155-9. Nick Potter (3-29) and Nick Pang (3-28) tormented Ashcott.
Norton lost their top three batsmen very cheaply as openers Martin Cox and Dean Clifton were out for ducks before Potter headed back to the pavilion for five.
But Jason Moule (72 not out) and Pang (58 not out) saw the Somerset side home at 159-3.
Newcomers Bedminster have secured their second straight win after seeing off Minehead by five wickets.
Tom Wright hit 73, including 10 fours and two sixes, as Minehead finished on 165.
Garreth Elphick and Waleed Abbasi took 4-26 and 3-53 respectively before Elphick top-scored with 37 in Bedminster's 168-5.
Brislington beat North Perrott by 66 runs thanks to Richard Ollis (77) and Chris Munden (58).
In Bristol & North Somerset, Old Bristolians Westbury and Claverham remain locked at the top of the division after maintaining their 100 per cent starts to the summer.
Bristolians eased to a seven-wicket win against strugglers Bishopston.
Bishopston were all out for 154, Dave O'Brien top-scoring with 29, while Gareth Griffiths took 4-37 for the joint leaders.
Bristolians opener Travis Townsend hit 71 off 88 balls, including 12 fours, in his side's 155-3.
Richard Horton fine form with the bat continued with another half century in Claverham's four-wicket win against Hambrook.
Faiyaz Landge scored 50 at almost a run a ball, and James Downes took 4-40 as Hambrook were restricted to just 143.
Horton hit 53 before skipper Matthew Davis (25 not out) scored the winning runs. Landge claimed 5-44.
Frenchay got back to winning ways after beating Chipping Sodbury by 15 runs.
Chris Davis top-scored with 35 not out in Frenchay's 139, while Jamie Wakefield and Jon Toghill both finished with three wickets.
But Wayne Kylander (4-31) and Jordan Khan (3-38) skittled the Sodbury top order.
Sodbury were 52-7 at one stage and they were finally all out for 124.
Keiran Palmer (56) and Michael Fisher (54 not out) inspired Congresbury's eight-wicket win over Timsbury.
In the Gloucestershire/Wiltshire Division, a century from Bobby Jenkins and a rapid 51 from captain James Williams secured a 121-run victory for Marshfield against Lydney.
Matt Tyler hit 64 not out, but he could not prevent a 51-run defeat for Rockhampton when chasing Westbury & District's 234.
