Clevedon pair enjoy a dramatic play-off success
JOHN Conners and Clive Randall earned Clevedon a dramatic victory in Somerset's Seniors Bowl final against Burnham and Berrow at breezy Taunton Vale.
They led Brian Colome and Harvey Sampson by one hole standing on the 18th tee before a putt from the fringe by Colome squared the match.

But the Clevedon duo won the first extra hole to give their side a 3-2 success.
Peter Horlock and Ian Saynor put Clevedon ahead 3 and 2 in the opener before Alex Kidd and Peter Amos beat Martin Reid and Tony Brown at the 20th to square the match after relinquishing a five-hole lead after 12 holes.

Reg Wiles and Mark D'Ammassa gained Clevedon's second win before Burnham's Gordon MacKay and Nick Agar beat David Steele and David Fife to make it 2-2 before the extra-hole drama.
