Clevedon hit back to record convincing victory
Clevedon Town 4 Stourbridge 1
Clevedon Town went a goal down midway through the first half, but hit back to dominate the game and claim their first victory of the season.
Stourbridge finished with 10 men after Craig Slater was red-carded midway through the first half.
Stourbridge started strongly and forced two early corners before Josh Brigham's long throw found the unmarked Tom Billings, who shot wide from close range.
Sean Evans went close to giving Stourbridge a 10th-minute lead when his shot hit the inside of the upright and rebounded back into play but they took a 23rd-minute lead.
A deep cross from the right found Ryan Rowe at the far post and although goalkeeper Danny Greaves blocked his first shot, Rowe followed up to put the rebound away.
Clevedon equalised in the 38th minute when Pete Sheppard's free-kick was turned in by Ben Evans.
A cross from the right created the opening for Brigham to give Clevedon a 2-1 lead in the 53rd minute and eight minutes later Sheppard made it 3-1 following a corner. A cross from the left was put away by Joey Evans in the 80th minute to complete the scoring.
