Clevedon well beaten by leaders
CLEVEDON failed to build on Joe Flurry's first-half opener as table-toppers Winchester ran away with the game in Division One South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League.
Flurry struck after 24 minutes, converting Adam Mahdi's cross with a first-time effort to give his side the lead.
The home side were ahead for just two minutes, however, as Curtis Jack tripped Andrew White in the box and Michael Charles equalised from the penalty spot.
Winchester goalkeeper Rory Anderson then took centre stage, saving Jack's long-range drive before keeping out Mahdi's penalty following a foul on Reeko Best.

Charles, who had already gone close to a second goal, put the visitors in front just after the hour mark, latching on to a Tom Dunford pass.
Goalscorer Charles turned provider on 68 minutes, supplying the crucial pass for White to make it three.
Two minutes later, Winchester assured themselves of the points as Dunford beat exposed Clevedon goalkeeper Lee Matthews.
Clevedon are back in action tomorrow when they go to Evesham (7.45pm).
