Clerk claimed stolen cash from sex
A BANK clerk who stole £46,000 told investigating officers she made the money as a prostitute.
Law graduate Rachel Martin spent £4,000 on breast surgery, £1,000 on dental work and more cash on liposuction and hair extensions in a desperate bid to become a glamour model. The 24-year-old went on shopping sprees in Bristol where she would buy Jimmy Choo shoes and Disney toys for her son.
She told police she had made the money as a "common prostitute" in the city but in fact she had stolen it from Barclays where she handled cheques.
Martin, of St Austell, Cornwall, admitted theft and was jailed for a year by a judge at Truro Crown Court.
