Clean shave signals start for 'Dead Squirrels'
MALE staff at Bristol-based Aardman Animations have had an old fashioned clean shave in preparation for "Movember".
Movember is an event taking over the month of November, where men grow moustaches to raise funds and awareness for men's health – particularly the issues of prostate and testicular cancer.
On the first of the month, men taking part register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face and then spend the rest of the month grooming their facial hair.
The Aardman team have named themselves the "Dead Squirrels" and yesterday were paid a visit by Bristol male grooming company Bespo'ke to give them a clean shave ready for the hair-raising challenge.

The Aardman-created character Morph is also taking part this year – an exclusive Plasticine figure with an impressive moustache has been made and will be auctioned to raise money for Movember initiatives on the auction website eBay.
Morph appeared with the late Tony Hart, from 1977, on several of his UK TV programmes including Take Hart and Hartbeat.
Men sporting a moustache are known as "Mo Bros", and effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November and through their actions and words raise awareness by prompting conversation around the often ignored issue of men's health.
The funds raised in the UK by Movember support prostate and testicular cancer.
The money is directed to programmes run directly by Movember and their men's health partners, The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research.

“I assume in this PC world we live in, that you will be encouraging some of the females staff to also stop shaving their moustaches???”
