Clarke and Gingell grab hat-tricks for Brislington

IN the Alf Bosley Cup, the result of the day was Brislington A, from Premier Two, defeating St Aldhelms, from Premier One, 7-2 at Ironmould Lane.

Dan Clarke and Lance Gingell scored hat-tricks for the victors, whose other goal came from Jack Flower.

Wessex Wanderers edged out Premier Two rivals Glenside Five OB's 4-3 on penalties after sharing six goals after extra time. Clayton Kingman (2) and Luke Webster scored for Wessex, while Harry Pearce (2) and Tim Batt netted for Glenside.

Whitchurch were another team to win on penalties, 3-1, at home to Filton Athletic after sharing two goals. Nick Bennett was on target for Whitchurch.

Two goals in the last three minutes of extra time by Joe Dykes and John Pugsley gave Fishponds OBs a 2-0 home win over AFC Mangotsfield.

Justin Bishop and Darren Fitzgerald were the Tytherington Rocks marksmen in a 2-1 victory at home to Easton Cowboys Suburbia, Aran Cosgrove scored for the Cowboys, who were indebted to a superb display in goal by James Fisher.

Goals from Ricky Evans and Kev Smith earned Little Stoke a 2-0 win at Almondsbury UWE Reserves.

Man-of-the-match Craig Lancastle scored the only goal of the game for Severn Beach at home to Ashton United, converting a cross from debutant Karl Edwards.

Daryl Cazley bagged a brace for Ridings Highin a 3-0 home winners over Old Georgians. Corey Wilson was also on target.

Charlie Bishop, Will Hall and Lee Tudor were on target for Avonmouth in a 3-0 win against Bristol Athletic.

Tyndalls Park Rangers enter the draw for the next round courtesy of a 5-1 win at Ashton Backwell Colts, whose goal came from Ryan Hoskins. Cadbury Heath Reserves beat Premier Two Totterdown POB 3-1.

Ben Hiscock. Dean Stephens, Karl Rutter and Luke Bartley helped Stoke Gifford United to a 4-3 victory at home to Mangotsfield Sports.

Pete Tomiak bagged a brace for Rockleaze Rangers Reserves in a 5-1 win at home, after extra time, against Parson Street OBs, who levelled at 1-1 in the last minute of normal time. Steve Mason, Joe Webber and Andy Myland were the Rangers' goalscorers.

Matt Readings and Matt Hawkins were the Winford PH marksmen in a 2-0 win againstBroad Plain House Reserves, while Southmead United won 2-1 at Golden Hill.

In the Norman Goulding Cup, holders Ridings High Reserves lost at the first hurdle, going down 3-0 at home to Old Cothamians, for whom Tom Wakely, Ben Hooper and Aaron Tyler were on target.

Paul Kennedy scored a hat-trick for Downend Foresters who had an 8-2 win at Almondsbury UWE A. Chris Johnston, Chris King, George Robbins, Dave Scutt and Matt Smith also scored for the victors.

Paul Payne and Rob May netted for Fry's OB in a 4-2 home defeat to Stoke Rangers.

Hanham Athletic Suburbia travelled to the BAWA and won 3-0 against Corinthians Sports. Lebeq United also won away, 7-2 at Fishponds OB Reserves, for whom Darren Coole and Alan McCabe scored.

Secretary Scott Hynam completed a hat-trick for Hydez in a 5-2 home win over Filton Athletic Reserves. Paul Blenkinsopp and Luke Allen were also on target for the Norton Lane side.

Phil Giles scored the only goal of the game for Stoke Gifford United Reserves at home to Old Georgians Reserves.

Ollie Norman bagged both goals to see St Annes Town into the next round with a 2-0 win against Cleeve Colts, while Ashton United Reserves beat St Aldhelms Reserves 5-4 on penalties after the game finished goalless.

Brad Mead scored a brace for Wanderers in a 5-2 win over Bristol Telephone Reserves. Simon Rex, Mark Plummer and Shaun Monk scored their other goals.

Oldbury beat Keynsham Town A 2-1 thanks to an 88th-minute winner by Paul Mason. Craig Tottle opened the scoring for Oldbury.

In the Len Bartlett Trophy, there were two preliminary round matches.

Sartan United won 4-1 at Long Ashton Reserves. Stephen Shepherd (2), Westley Hawkins and Richard Quayle scored for Sartan, who play The Park Knowle in the first round. Matt Harper was on target for Long Ashton.

Ridings High A beat Lawrence Weston A 5-0 and will travel to Broad Walk in the next round.

Old Cothamians Reserves beat Bristol Spartak 5-4 after extra time at Canford Park, Tim Bruton (3), Matt Walsh were on target and Lee Edwards scored a late winner.

Anthony Dibble and Mitchell Player scored twice to help Whitchurch Sports to a 5-2 win at home to Golden Hill Sports. Rob Mangan also scored for the victors.

Brandon Sports beat Winford PH Reserves 3-2 on penalties after it was 2-2 after extra time.

Phil Arnel and Rob James bagged braces for Avonmouth A in a 5-1 win at AFC Mangotsfield A. Ash Rathbone-Morgan also netted for Avonmouth. Nick Joyce (2), Craig Dembici (2), Cory Clark, Shaun Blake and Josh Turner were on target for Bristol Bilbao in a 7-1 win over AFC Keynsham, who replied through Swanson.

Coupland Insulation beat Staple Hill 3-1, with Adam Duddridge scoring for Staple Hill.

Billy Mitchell scored a hat-trick for North Bristol Catalans in a 5-2 wins at Downend Foresters Reserves. Rico Retamales and Ash Palmer completed the scoring for Catalans, while John Radford and Nathan Baird replied for Foresters.

Lockleaze and Horfield beat Fishponds OB A 6-2, with Matt Bower and Luke Harwood replying for the OBs, and AEK Boco Colts won 4-1 at Severn Beach Reserves.

Oldbury FC Reserves won 4-1 at Totterdown POB Reserves and Wessex Wanderers Reserves beat Rolls Royce 4-2, with Scott Harrison and Nicky Blackmore bagging braces.
