Clark's Tytherington opportunity to shine goes on hold again
DANNY Clark is braced for a long-awaited Tytherington Rocks opportunity after a frustrating spell trying to establish himself in their Division One West line-up.
"Since signing for us a couple of months ago (from King's Stanley) Dan has been reduced to a couple of substitute appearances and he needs games," said manager Barry Granger.
"He's a skilful lad and I'm looking to give him a run from the start."
The forward will have to wait a bit longer for his full debut, however, as work commitments force him to miss Rocks' trip to struggling Cirencester United tomorrow.
Third-from-bottom Winterbourne United entertain Headington Amateurs, with manager Nick Tanner backing his players to turn around their fortunes on home soil.
"It's too late in the season to bring in a new batch of players," he said. "The lads have proved they're good enough to compete in this division and it's just a case of finding the right formula. I'll be looking to change things about a bit."
