City 'owes the protesters a debt'
I NOTE that the work to restore College Green is under way.
There has been some public unease about the cost of all this to the Bristol community, notwithstanding the fact that Occupy Bristol offered to undertake the work.

Work in progress to clean up and restore College Green after Occupy Bristol protesters finally left
May I suggest that anyone who believes that Occupy Bristol owe the Bristol community anything should make inquiry of the police who will tell them that during the three months that the occupiers were on the Green their workload with the homeless and marginalised was considerably reduced.
The hospital will tell them that their admissions were reduced also.
Occupy Bristol ran a free homeless hostel on College Green for three months, providing good food, care and support to these people.
After stripping out the cost of the work of restoration, the community of Bristol will find that it owes a considerable debt for the unrecognised and unfunded social work that was actually done on College Green this Winter.
