Frankie Artus will make his Cheltenham Town debut against Oldham Athletic at Whaddon Road tonight.

The 20-year-old Bristol City left-sided midfielder has joined Cheltenham on loan for a month and will ease boss Martin Allen's player shortage.

Allen is without central midfield duo John Finnigan and David Bird through injury, while winger Josh Low begins a three-match ban for his sending-off for violent conduct at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Artus is yet to appear for City's first team, but he has spent time on loan at Exeter City, Brentford and most recently, Blue Square Premier side Kettering Town.

"I managed to get Frankie in yesterday afternoon and Gary Johnson (City manager) has done us a favour," Allen said. "It was Mothering Sunday so not too many people were answering their phones as when they see it's me, they know I want players for nothing or for £100 a week, but we have got him in on the cheap.

"I saw him on loan at Brentford in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy (against Yeovil Town) and he was absolutely superb so I have kept an eye on him. We needed a central midfield player, so go on Frankie, here's your chance."
