Hoochie Coochie Kabaret Saturday, October 27, 8pm to 1am, Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery, Queen's Road. Tickets cost £16. Visit www.hoochiecoochiekabaret.com

Dress up and join the circus in one of Bristol's most historic buildings. For one night only the city's museum and art gallery will be transformed into a high octane circus and surreal cabaret event featuring acrobatic dancers, animals and art installations.

Hoochie Coochie will bring new meaning to a Halloween party with confirmed performers including acrobatic dancing circus princess Lin Broden and the surreal drag animal, Batpig! As well as the main stage show, the venue will be brought to life with wonderfully bizarre installations such as a pole dancing unicorn and Lady Lilleth and her performing reptiles. And the Bang DJ's will be providing a killer disco soundtrack to keep revellers dancing until the early hours.

Producer Keda Breeze said: "Hoochie Coochie has suddenly grown much bigger and it's hard to find venues big enough to hold us; the museum is perfect as we are taking over the whole ground floor. I'm thrilled about hosting Hoochie Coochie at the museum because it is such an incredibly stunning building."

But the show is as much about the audience as the performers. Partygoers don't have to dress up but might regret it if they don't and this time the dress code is disco blood bath, dead famous couples, drag, kitsch horror and the more bizarre the better.

The events have built up a loyal following over the years, with England cricketer David Syd Lawrence among the expected guests.
