Circus Americano finishes performances at garden centre
Circus Americano is putting on its last show in the garden centre in Brent Knoll, near Burnham-on-Sea, on Sunday.
Visitors to Sanders GardenWorld have been able to see acts such as wheel of death riders the Vegas Boys, trapeze act Duo Stratosphere and Wild West knife throwers The Nevadas in the circus's run of performances since November.
This is the fourth year the show, which also features award-winning clowns Popol and Kakehole and Beaky the UK's only performing duck, has played the garden centre.
Ringmaster Paul Carpenter said: "We've got a brand new show this year and have upped the wow factor for our fourth visit to Somerset.
"We think it is the best show we've brought to date. The wheel of death is the most dangerous of all circus acts.
"There are no safety devices used so the Vegas Boys will be risking their lives as they run, skip, jump and walk blindfolded around the giant wheel as it spins them high into the roof of the big top."
GardenWorld managing director, Peter Burks, said: "Circus Americano was a huge hit with people both young and old last year. It was a spectacular show so we asked them back to perform a new festive routine."
Shows are 4pm and 6.30pm every day – except Sundays and New Year's Day, when they are 2pm and 5pm.
Adult grand stand tickets cost £16 and concessions £14. Ring-side seats cost £14 for adults and £12 concessions, and side view tickets are £10 for adults and £8 concessions.
