Church Road pub fire 'deliberate'
A MAJOR fire at the George and Dragon pub in Redfield where up to 40 fire fighters attended early this morning is believed to have been started deliberately, according to the Avon Fire and Rescue Service.
Seven crews tackled the flames from raised platforms above the pub close to the entrance to St George Park after they were called to the scene at 1.45am.

Although the blaze was brought under control and dampening is now taking place, Church Road will remain closed while services attempt to secure the building, which is still deemed unsafe.
Nobody is beleived to have been hurt in the fire.
