TWO pop-up shops have appeared in Bristol selling Christmas cards on behalf of a number of charities.

Cards for Good Causes – which sells charity cards across the UK every year – has set up stalls in Tyndale Baptist Church in Clifton and the New Room in Broadmead.

The organisation offers shoppers the chance to buy Christmas cards from more than 30 national and local charities.

Organiser for the Bristol area Frances Guy said: "As we're part of the UK's largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation, we offer a wide range of designs to choose from and a convenient way to support more than one good cause. We're sure just one visit to either of our shops will help you with cards, wrapping paper and gift tags this season, helping to cross a few festive jobs off the list in one go."

Cards for Good Cause pays the participating charities at least 75p in every pound from their card sales.

The retained amount covers CFGC's costs of running the temporary charity Christmas card shops. In addition to these costs, the participants have to pay for the production and distribution of their cards.

The shops, staffed by local volunteers, are open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3.30pm until the middle of December.
