Choir's Colston Hall concert promises rare treat

Bristol Choral Society will mark a concert at Colston Hall on March 23 with two rare performances.

The group, with quartet of soloists including Camilla Roberts, Clare Presland, Adrian Dwyer and David Soar, will sing Rossini's Stabat Mater and Verdi's Four Sacred Pieces.

Four Sacred Pieces has been chosen by the 150-strong choir on the bicentenary of Verdi's birth.

The choir will be accompanied by the 70-piece English Symphony Orchestra and the show will be conducted by Adrian Partington.
