Worse was to follow for the Bluebirds when Luke Corbett won possession in their area before driving home.
Chippenham pulled a goal back when Sam Allison cleverly played the ball into the path of Lewis Powell, who placed his shot beyond Chris Kiely. The visitors drew level on 39 minutes when Lamb converted Scott Lye's flag-kick.
Leamington took the lead a minute before the break when a long ball out of defence allowed right-back Michael Tuohy to score.
Two minutes into the second half, Chippenham equalised again when the hosts failed to defend an Ashley Williams free kick and Powell slotted home.
Chippenham took the lead through substitute Ben Highmore who superbly controlled the ball on his thigh before before picking his spot. The scoring was finally brought to an end on 68 minutes when Leamington skipper Guy Sanders headed home from a corner.
