Chinese surgeon delivers Bolland Lecture in Bristol
A top Chinese surgeon will deliver this year's annual Bolland Lecture at the University of the West of England tonight.
Professor Arthur KC Li, emeritus professor of surgery of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, will speak about changes in education in Hong Kong. UWE Vice-Chancellor, Professor Steve West, said: "Professor Li is a distinguished medic and academic and has supported our engagement with Hong Kong and China as we internationalise the university. His passion and commitment for education is evident and he has been a great moderniser for further and higher education."
The Bolland lecture was established in 1976 to commemorate Dr Robert Bolland, who held the post of director of Bristol Polytechnic from 1969 to his death in 1974.
