Chinese minister pops in to view city's arts scene
CHINESE government minister Xun De Zhu paid a flying visit to Bristol this week following a trade mission.
Mr Xun De Zhu is the president of Hunan University and Minister of Culture for the Hunan Province and recently hosted a visit in his home country for Bristol business leaders. And he decided to call into Bristol on a whistle-stop tour of the city.

The minister came to the UK to visit his daughter but was keen to view art across the country.
A big fan of the Bristol art scene he visited the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol Museum, the It's All 2 Much gallery in Stokes Croft and View Gallery in Hotwells

During the trip he was joined by the Lord Mayor Peter Main and his colleague Rachel Boast.
The group were invited to a private viewing at the Lord Mayor's Mansion. Both Peter Main and Rachel Boast took part in the mission in China and the trip to Guangzhou which is twinned with Bristol.
