Children build city in honour of charity's 30th celebration
A BRISTOL children's charity celebrated its 30th birthday by asking children to build a "cardboard city".
Youngsters could make a waterproof model out of any materials they could find beforehand or were invited to create their own on the day. The model was supposed to represent their favourite place to play such as a bedroom, house, tree, den, park, garden, street, the zoo or their school.

On Saturday all the models were put together in the Children's Scrapstore car park in St Werburgh's to create the city.
The charity, which is now 30 years old, makes practical use of scrap material for children's play activities. It collects safe waste from businesses which can re-used as a low-cost creative resource by its members, which include schools and community groups.
