Chew Magna arson attack causes flames to fill the night sky
Flames filled the night sky after gorse and bracken was set alight in Chew Magna.
The blaze spread across a large area off Knowle Hill yesterday.

Firefighters from Chew Magna, Paulton and Bedminster were called to deal with the fire at 7.20pm and spent about half an hour tackling the flames.
A spokesman for the fire service said crews were “confronted with multiple seats of fire due to embers being carried in the wind”.

They used beaters to put out the flames.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service believe the fire was started deliberately and have passed details on to the police.
