Chance for young chefs
BUDDING young chefs who fancy an apprenticeship in the kitchen are being invited to take part in a Weston College cookery competition.
The college is hosting an apprentice masterchef event between July 16 and 27 and would like to hear from year 11 students.
There are 16 places available in the competition, which involves two weeks of hands-on training, including lessons in food hygiene, making sauces and preparing a variety of dishes.
There will also be careers advice and an employability skills workshop given by college staff, along with chefs and restaurateurs from around the area.
