One of Bristol's leading choirs will be conducted by their celebrity president for their next concert.

The Henleaze-based Bristol Bach Choir will be led by radio presenter, and ex-member of the Seventies vocal group The King's Singers, Brian Kay on July 11 in Bristol Cathedral.

The concert, called Kings and Kaisers, features a programme of choral music that traces the development of the motet – a piece of choral music in several parts – in Germany and England.

It includes Bach's Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden, Purcell's Hear my Prayer, O Lord, and music by Stanford and Parry.

The concert will be at 7.30pm. Tickets cost between £8 and £18 from Musicbox, on 01275 349010. They will also be available on the door.
