This year's Soil Association Organic Food Festival is held on the weekend of September 6 and 7. Opening times are: Saturday 10am-6pm; Sunday 10am-5pm.

The festival on the city's Harbourside has evolved as Europe's largest celebration of all things organic, and incorporates food markets, organic food, drink, fashion, skincare and homeware products, a "green planet" pavilion, demonstration kitchen, talks programme, food cruises around the harbour, and an arts and entertainment fringe.

This year, the festival is showcasing the wealth of organic producers and retailers in the Bristol region with its first Local Market in Anchor Square.

The festival will open on Saturday morning with the Matthew, the replica of John Cabot's original ship, sailing towards the dockside Amphitheatre to the sound of Food Glorious Food sung by the People of Note choir.
