The biggest event in the West's fashion calendar, The Mall's Fashion Week actually features nine days and 17 catwalk shows of fun, frivolity and the serious business of looking good.

It opens on Saturday, September 27, and GMTV fashion stylist Mark Heyes returns for the third time to present this year's catwalk shows, which run from Wednesday, October 1, to Sunday, October 5.

Each 45-minute show will feature the latest collections from more than 30 stores at The Mall including John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Coast, Phase Eight and Top Shop, with looks ranging from casual wear, winter coats and jackets and evening wear ready for the Christmas party season.

Mark says: "If you want the look for this autumn/winter without maxing out your credit card, then this is the event for you.

"We'll highlight all the essential wardrobe must-haves so you know the key pieces to go for. And as usual we'll have lots of fun along the way."

Mark will be joined on stage by celebrity hairdresser Andrew Barton – famous for his work on Channel 4's 10 Years Younger programme – who will be passing on his top tips.

"Finding a style that frames your face and brings out your best facial features can take years off you and help create a sophisticated and glamorous new look," he says.

Fashion show tickets start at £7.50 (and include a goodie bag) from www.mallcribbs.com or The Mall information desk. Other activities happening during Fashion Week include free cosmetic makeovers by Clarins, Christian Dior and Boots No 7, colour analysis, mini-manicures, massages and hair consultations.
