Joe Calzaghe hit out at Carl Froch this week for "drumming up free publicity for himself by using my name" – yet Froch, pictured, seems to have little option but to deploy such tactics.
Britain's only current recognised world boxing champion, Froch has been overlooked by the mainstream media, with no major broadcaster showing his 12th-round victory over Jermain Taylor last weekend.

The Nottingham fighter may not be in the same class as Calzaghe or Ricky Hatton, but he deserves more recognition than he currently gets. If the only way to make people take note of his achievement is to challenge Calzaghe to come out of retirement, then so be it.
