Caretaker manager Dave Mogg will be holding talks with Yate Town chairman Peter Jackson as speculation mounts over the Lodge Road hot-seat.

Mogg failed to halt the team's slide towards relegation from the British Gas Business Southern League Premier Division after replacing Richard Thompson and has been forthright in his criticism of some of the players.

With Mogg pondering his future, the name of former Mangotsfield United boss Andy Black, who led Bitton to the Toolstation League Premier Division title, has been strongly linked with the job.

"Everyone is taking stock at the moment and we have to sit down and have a meeting," said Mogg.

"There is part of me that wants to continue doing it and part not. There is a lot of aggravation and I have lot of other stuff to think about with work and family."

Mogg was critical of a lack of professionalism from certain members of the squad and confirmed this week that striker Dean Griffiths had been fined two weeks' wages for breach of contract.

Griffiths turned out for the GFA Sunday Premier Cup final for Hanham Sunday against Lebeq Tavern Courage last week.

After rescuing Clevedon Town from relegation on a thrilling final day, manager Nick Tucker will be holding talks with the board soon to determine his budget for next season.

"The board was meeting on Thursday, so we will get together over the weekend or early next week to discuss budgets for next season," said Tucker.

"I don't intend to rip apart the squad but we need to add four or five players to it because we are a bit short and we need to improve. We don't want to be fighting relegation again next season."
