A PROLIFIC thief with more than 100 offences to his name escaped prison despite breaching a court order banning him from every hotel in Bristol.

On Saturday, police arrested car thief Mark Picton on Pump Lane, Redcliffe.

  1. Avon and Somerset Police

The 32-year-old from Knowle was seen cycling around the Ramada Hotel car park, breaching his anti-social behaviour order.

Picton was convicted by Bristol magistrates and given a six-month conditional discharge, which means unless he reoffends within that period, he will not be punished for the breach.
