Cancer survivor through to inventor contest final
AN Ashley Down woman who was inspired to become an inventor while undergoing treatment for breast cancer has won her way through to the final of a national business competition.
Lorna Perks was one of ten competitors put to public vote in the Orange Different Business competition.
Her design for a pill dispenser to remind people to take their medication was one of the top three entries and Ms Perks will pitch to a judging panel in London on Friday for the £200,000 prize.
