IN reply to Mary the Elvis Presley fan, I can assure you that the original soundtrack of Jailhouse Rock (1958) from this film was recorded by MGM.

Much later, Elvis Presley made the studio recordings for RCA Victor and these were released on an EP Rcx-106. However, they are completely different recordings from the original film tracks.

The MGM recordings are still unreleased and in some ways feature a much earlier Elvis Presley. His many fans should campaign for the release of these priceless tapes.
