Withywood's victory completed their best-ever season. The club won the GFA Sunday Minor Cup in March and were crowned champions of Division III in the Regional League after a campaign which saw them score 75 goals and concede only 13 in 16 league games.

Lebeq dominated the first half, but their final ball into the danger area constantly went astray and, although they forced four corners in the opening 30 minutes, Caines was rarely called into action.

Fernando Araujo finally forced a save from Caines just after the half-hour mark and the keeper pulled off another good stop on the stroke of half-time.

Lebeq came out for the second half fired up and Caines did well to deny Jelan Watkins, but he was beaten on 56 minutes when Mark Richards struck from close range to give Lebeq a deserved lead.

Lebeq kept up the pressure, but no one was able to get a touch in front of goal to an inviting low cross from Makinde Kondwani, while Kondwani wasted a great chance of making it 2-0 when he shot high over from close range.

Withywood finally settled down to exert some pressure on the Lebeq defence. Ryan Peacey had a shot saved and Del Attiwell was denied by goalkeeper Ricky Harvey, who then did well to block a shot from Kris Bale.

Harvey blocked another Attiwell shot with his feet, but Withywood maintained the pressure and were finally rewarded with a 73rd-minute equaliser, with Criag Pinchen on target from close range following a corner.

With neither side able to break the deadlock, the game went into extra- time and Lebeq went closest to winning it in the additional period when a lob over the keeper was cleared off the by a Withywood defender.

Caines was the hero in a dramatic shoot-out with two super stops as Withywood prevailed 3-2. Araujo and Marcel Smith converted their spot- kicks for Lebeq, but Ashley Riddock, Ricky Peacey and Attiwell scored to clinch victory for Withywood.
