A cafe in Knowle West is offering freshly cooked meals and a drink for under £4.

The Walk-in Café in the Knowle West Health Park in Downton Road first opened in 2002 with the aim of providing healthy food at an affordable price.

Diners can get a full meat or vegetarian meal with a drink for under £4 for an adult, or under £2 for a child.

Old favourites like fish and chips or even pizza are also frequently on the menu, but prepared as healthily as possible.

Buffets are also available to order for meetings or a social event.

Customers have the added advantage of using the services delivered by the Knowle West Health Park Company, a not-for profit organisation in the same building.

The Knowle West Health Park Company, which runs the Walk-in Café, was set up to address health inequalities and promote health and wellbeing in south Bristol.

The company delivers a range of services including bodywork, creativity classes, complementary therapy workshops, counselling and physical activities for young and old.

All services are available at a subsidised rate, while selected services are available for free to those living in Knowle West.

The cafe is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 3.30pm.

For information about the Walk-in Café or activities available on the Health Park, contact either Lucy Hurn (Walk-in Café) on 0117 377 2576 or Sharon Howell (Knowle West Health Park Company) on 0117 377 2255.
