Cadets' crime crackdown
VOLUNTEER police cadets are helping to crack down on vehicle crime.
The cadets will be out and about this weekend, delivering letters to residents in Felton, near Bristol Airport, to warn them about security in the wake of a spate of recent thefts from cars in the village.
Since the beginning of last month there have been 11 reported thefts from cars in Felton, mainly at night. Officers have been sifting through forensic evidence, taking witness statements and have increased patrols in the village.
Beat manager PC Ray Bradley said 10 of the vehicles targeted were left unlocked, with valuables left clearly visible to passers-by.
