Buy a duck to help cancer fight
A cancer charity is selling specially-designed bath ducks to help in the fight again tumours.
Breast cancer survivor Verna Chapman, of Hartcliffe, showed off the new collection of Cancer Research UK bath ducks at Windmill Hill City Farm.
The colourful creations carry an important message, reminding women that a bath or a shower is the best time to check for any changes that might be a sign of possible tumours.
Mrs Chapman, 50, was playing with her daughter Emma in December when the girl accidentally landed on her chest and she noticed a lump. In January she underwent surgery to remove the tumour and was told the cancer had not spread further.
She said: "It's thanks to research that I've been given another chance. I want to encourage everyone to join the fight for women's survival by raising money for Cancer Research UK."
Among the designs is a duck with a pink pearl necklace designed by actress Dame Judi Dench.
