Butler gets a lot out of sparring trip
Danny Butler says regular sparring sessions with Britain's top-ranked light-middleweight are proving a real eye-opener.
Bristol's rising boxing star has been called upon to help Manchester's Jamie Moore in his quest to conquer Europe.

The Salford-based knockout specialist, ranked number 13 in the world, is due to meet Italian veteran Michele Piccirillo for the vacant EBU title at Wigan's Robin Park Arena on March 6.
And Butler has already sparred 10 rounds with southpaw Moore in Oliver's Gym and is planning a return trip to Salford later this month.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for me to learn from him," said Butler, who defends his British Masters super- middleweight crown on a Hatton Promotions show in his native city on Saturday, March 14.
"The introduction came through Ricky Hatton and Jane Couch did the rest. They wanted me to go up there for sparring because I'm similar in style and build to the Italian.
"He's supposed to be tall, a good mover and someone who boxes rather than fights and they thought I could help.
"I've already been up there a couple of times and I think they want me again in the next week or so."
Butler has won 13 of his 14 paid outings since turning professional three years ago and admits: "Stepping into the ring with someone of Jamie Moore's ability is amazing.
"He's one of the best in the business and there is a real pressure and intensity to everything he does.
"He's on you all the time when you spar him and his work-rate is phenomenal. It's opened my eyes and made me realise what it takes to get to the top in this sport.
"I've learned a lot and I hope to take some of those things with me into my next fight."
Meanwhile, the search is on for Butler's next opponent and an announcement is expected within the next week.
Tickets for the eight-fight March 14 show, which takes place at the Marriott Hotel in Bristol city centre are currently on sale and can be booked by calling 07792 506546.
