An unstoppable long-range effort from Maddison Buss handed Frampton Rangers A Under-10s a last-gasp winner in a 1-0 victory over spirited Portishead Juniors.

Strong midfield play from Chelsea Hill and Kyla Probert had provided Portishead striker Sophie Dumine with good chances in the first half, while Rosie Williams and Paige Botta had brilliant games at the back for Frampton in front of cool keeper Hariye Beydilli.

Portishead maintained their determined spirit after the break with superb battling from defenders Rosie Collings, Eloise Hubbard and Alys Withers, allowing Izzy Batchelor to push forward alongside Emily Dickens.

Frampton kept going too and with Connie Lanham, Shelby Kendall, Jess Jefferies and Lauren Penny driving them on, they snatched their winner in the final minute thanks to Buss' blast into the roof of the net, which gave Portishead keeper Aimee Morgan little chance.

Two fine goals Martha Howells goals gave Frampton Rangers B Under-10s a 2-0 victory over Downend.

Goal ace Jazz Williams enjoyed a clean sweep as champions Bristol Ladies Union Under-14s demonstrated their title credentials with a 4-0 away victory over Yate Town.

In an entertaining game, Union got off to a slow start and Yate threatened through the aerial presence of Bailey Thompson, who was always a thorn in the side of the visitors' defence.

But after sustained pressure from their opponents, Union broke away to open the scoring when neat inter-passing between Maddie Mather and Natalie Sidwick sent Jazz Williams through to finish well.

Union, with left-back Ceri Shepherd shining, gradually took control of a slower-paced second half, with leading scorer Williams netting three more times to wrap up a convincing win.

Union remain undefeated with one game to go at home to Longwell Green at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex on Thursday, April 30 (6.45pm).

Driven on by their player-of-the-match Megan Tyre, Downend Flyers Girls Under-12s had to battle all the way to seal a point from a 2-2 draw with visitors Wootton Rovers.

Downend took advantage of their opponents' slow start when Jasmine Trueman hit an unstoppable shot into the net.

Wootton hit back from a corner when the ball was pulled back to Josie Buist, who hit a tremendous shot from outside the area to equalise.

Both teams were evenly matched in the second half but Downend again forged ahead when Rachel Stokes' long-range strike hit the net.

But the away side continued to press and a goalmouth scramble resulted in Rosanna Blacker poking in an injury-time equaliser.

Portishead Juniors A Under-12s claimed their 20th league victory of the season in their penultimate game with a deserved 2-0 victory against hard-working hosts Longwell Green.

They did it too without their prolific goalscorer Annabelle Colston, as goals from star performer Maisie Kincaid and Taylor Gainey, her 43rd league goal of the season, sealed victory.

Cadie Dunn and captain Ellie Grey, who later went off injured, produced solid displays in front of keeper Alice Pritchard, who was tested only in the first half by a well-struck shot from distance.

Bristol Girls League Under-14s maintained their 100 per cent record with an emphatic 10-1 away win at Oxford Representatives.

They had to pick themselves up from the setback of conceding to an Oxford penalty before a solo run from Emily Plummer produced their equaliser.

Rebecca Holloway put BGL 2-1 up with a 20-yard strike before Plummer added her second in a one-sided second half and Sophie Whelan struck two more with long-distance efforts.

Zoe Gunter and Georgia Hurcom also bagged braces to go with Bailey Thompson's edge-of-box volley.
