Bus driver showed care for passengers
A few years ago, my sister and I (both pensioners) boarded a Bristol-bound bus on Clevedon's seafront.
When we stopped at the town centre, a group of nine or 10 teenage girls got on and went to the back of the bus where they proceeded to deafen us with shrieks and yells.
To be fair – I don't recall bad language. But the noise was going through our heads, also disturbing the few other passengers.
I stood up and turned to them, asking politely if they could keep the noise down.
Their response of quiet lasted all of two minutes.
Thankfully our driver was a sensible man, and it wasn't long before he pulled in at a bus stop, got up and ordered the girls off.
They protested they would be late for their concert in Bristol. He advised they should have thought of that before.
Yes, our driver acted quickly, responsibly and correctly out of concern for his other passengers
