Buddy stars give Bristol scouts some tips
It's a tough task to follow a rock'n'roll legend on to the stage but cast members from hit musical Buddy have given Bristol scouts a few tips.
Next week this year's Gang Show will take over on stage at the Hippodrome from the musical telling the life story of Buddy Holly, who died in a plane crash 50 years ago this month. The cast of Buddy, which is on a farewell tour almost 20 years after it hit the West End, took time out to meet some of the scouts who will be taking part in the Gang Show.

Glen Joseph (Buddy Holly), Colin McGregor (Big Bopper) and Pedro Reichert (Ritchie Valens) met scouts Luke Harper, nine, Sophia Gawler, 11, Evie Dodge, 10, and Emonn Buckley, 12. The Gang Show is a showpiece for the Scout movement and what the youth of Bristol can achieve.
With a cast of 89 from local members of the scout movement supported by a willing team of back-stage volunteers, rehearsals for the Gang Show started in July last year.
It is a fast-moving variety show full of songs, dance and sketches.
Buddy will be showing until Saturday and the Gang Show starts a week from today, running until February 21.
