We recently had a letter from Gordon Brown in which, amongst other things, he has said he will give a £145 tax cut to the lower paid.

This goes to show that he is out of touch, not just with the lower paid working people and their financial problems, but also with his MPs, one of whom would gladly tell him that £145 won't even buy a good toaster.
