Bristol Rovers SCJ, of Division I, were given a real fright by Division V side Rockleaze Rangers before coming through 4-3 in their Under-12 Avon Youth League Cup clash.

Cam Brook's hat-trick strike in the final three minutes of extra-time settled a thrilling tie.

Rovers trailed 2-0 at one stage but hit back to equalise before the break through Brook and substitute Will Munro.

With 15 minutes remaining, Brook used his pace to full effect by running through to put Rovers 3-2 up, only for their gutsy opponents to equalise at the death and force extra-time.

Rangers almost snatched an unlikely victory when they hit a post, before Brook slotted home his third goal to finally put the tie to bed for relieved Rovers.

Bitton joined them in the third round with an emphatic 9-0 win over St Vallier.

They dominated from start to finish, Callum Wright leading the way with four goals and Jak Griffiths, Callum Ball, Jordan Cribb, Luke Saward and Harry Sutton all on target.

There was no shortage of goals in the AEK Boco-Bristol Central tie either as Jack Robson rattled up five of them in Boco's 10-0 victory.

Alex Whale (2), Tom Norley (2) and Luke Withey netted the others. Central produced some excellent attacking football and Boco keeper Tom Pattern did well to keep out three super long-range efforts.

Boco new-boys Billy Hack and Ben Stephenson both turned in good performances.

Yate United moved into round three with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Winterbourne United. Harley Warren was the star of the show with a well-taken hat-trick and Nathan Brown bagged the other goal.

The gap in leagues between previously unbeaten Oldland Abbotonians and Bristol City Junior Supporters proved too much as Division I side City ran out 13-0 winners.

Oldland's keeper had an excellent game but couldn't prevent the prolific George Kellow helping himself to five goals. Calum Townsend was on target four times, while City's other scorers were Jordan Scadding, Elliott Ripley, Sam George and Harry Roddick.

It took Warmley Rangers 45 minutes to break down a resolute and hard-working Totterdown POB.

Once the breakthrough came from Harvey Boyce, however, there was only going to be one winner as they struck another four goals, three of them coming in the final four minutes.

Two by Jay Vile and one each from Callum Carter and Ravi Heer saw Warmley to a comfortable 5-0 victory.

● Bradley Stoke United won 5-3 in a topsy-turvy Under-13s tie with Fry Club Juniors.

Kieran Smith gave them an early lead and added another before the break.

Fry's hit back well in the second half to score three times and race into a 3-2 lead through goals from Callum Payne, Zac Hallett and James Moore.

However, James Skelton sent a shot squirming under the keeper to equalise for Bradley Stoke before Smith completed his hat-trick and George Stephens added another.

Star man James Malby hit a first-half hat-trick as Bromley Heath United A swept into the third round with a 6-0 success against Ashton Boys A.

They were always in charge after Malby had opened the scoring following some terrific build-up play and Adam Campbell grabbed a deserved goal as they reached the break 4-0 up.

Bromley lost influential central midfielder Joe O'Connor at half-time to injury but George Amos stepped in competently. A Campbell penalty and a Greg Ward tap-in rounded off the scoring.

At the back, goalkeeper Ross Baker and defenders Marcus Lambert, Connor Cairashi, Luke Dinnall and Loryan Nolan worked hard to keep intact Heath's impressive record of not conceding a goal so far this season.

Stoke Lane ran out comprehensive 18-1 winners against a spirited but limited Highbridge side.

Matty Mattis and Jack Bryan both cracked hat-tricks while Rhys Hodgson (2), Jack Sayers (2), Curtis Walters (2), Will Clarke (2), Marco di Mauro, Liam Lloyd, Joe Forrs and Harry Sweeten got the other goals.

Will Hamer was voted man of the match for the victors.

● A stunning first-half strike by full-back Joad Shaban – his first goal for the club – gave Rockleaze Rangers a 1-0 win against league newcomers Eagle House Youth in the Under-16 Cup.

In a game of few clear-cut chances, livewire forward Jordan Lindo brought a fine save out of visiting keeper Jake Benney after bursting through, while the irrepressible George Harris hit the inside of a post with an inswinging corner.

At the other end, the Rangers keeper commanded his box well, making one fine sprawling save early in the first half. He was well supported by man-of-the-match Joe Brooks, who was a tower of strength at centre-half.

The three-division gap between Bristol Rovers Supporters and Longwell Green was all too clear as Rovers romped to a 10-0 victory.

Ben Cush opened the scoring on two minutes and Davaughn Martin added a second from 25 yards. Neat build-up play ended with Jake Jackson netting a third goal and a powerful strike from Billy Bond extended the lead on the half-hour. Cush claimed his hat-trick with a goal either side of half-time.

Although Longwell worked hard, they could not stop Tom Shopland adding to the score after an hour, before a close-range effort from Mitchell Williams took Rovers' tally to eight.

Brad Pearce scored on 70 minutes and Davaughn Martin claimed his second five minutes later to round off the goal bonanza.
