Bristol youngsters flock to talent show
Hundreds of youngsters have been showcasing their music, dance, drama and singing talents this week.
They have been taking part in the annual Longwell Green Eisteddfod, which is held in the church and the community centre.
The event has been running since 1946 and this year attracted more than 1,000 entries.
It is affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals for music, dance and speech.
Secretary David Tiley said the dance categories, in particular, were booming.
Organisers are seeking more support to help them run the event in future. Anyone able to help should contact Mr Tiley at 44 Bakersfield, Longwell Green, Bristol, BS30 9YP or ring 0117 9322408 or by e-mail dttiley@btinternet.com.
