Bristol welcomes new team Thunderbats
Jo Stetton, BSA treasurer and person responsible for getting the team together said: "The team has been pulled together as a result of new people contacting the league through various channels. They have now had the opportunity to sort themselves into a proper team and are very excited at the prospect of having their first league game next week."
Thunderbats captain Tom Reynolds said: "Mark Fenton, Jo Stretton, Neil Butterfield and Pete Saunders have all been incredibly supportive since I first contacted them.
"They have each given up evenings to help us train, teach us the rules of softball and help us form a team. All of the Thunderbats are looking forward to our first game next week. Playing softball is a great way to spend a summer evening and meet new people."
Communications Officer, Saghi Zarbafi said: "I'm sure Bristol softball players will all join me in saying a huge thank you to Mark Fenton for coaching the team, Jo Stretton for getting them all there and helping with kit provision and Neil Butterfield and Pete Saunders for assisting with coaching when Mark couldn't get back in time from work! It's great to see everyone working together to encourage the continued growth of our favourite summer pastime!"
