Bristol victim struck in face with bottle
Police are trying to trace witnesses to a Bristol attack in which a man was hit in the face with a bottle.
The 23-year-old needed hospital treatment for cuts and bruises when he was hit outside the Inkerman pub in Grosvenor Road, St Paul's.
Police yesterday asked anyone who believes they saw the incident, which happened at about 2.30am on July 5, to come forward.
The area would have been busier than usual as thousands of people had attended the St Paul's Carnival hours earlier.
Another 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Witnesses should call Bristol CID on 0845 456 7000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
