Bristol teenager dealt drugs from supermarket car park
A Bristol teenager who dealt drugs from a supermarket car park in broad daylight has been sent to youth custody for 30 months.
Police spotted Paul Pease selling crack cocaine from a car parked at the back of Morrisons supermarket in Hartcliffe, Bristol Crown Court heard.
When interviewed the youngster was frank about what he was doing and admitted he had already sold heroin.
Pease, 18, of Daventry Road, Knowle West, pleaded guilty to supplying crack cocaine and two charges of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.
Imposing sentence the recorder Mr Jonathan Fuller QC told him: "You must know, even at the age of 18, that the supply of Class A drugs is dealt with very sternly by the courts.
"You pleaded guilty in that you were in the car park selling drugs. You have not previously been concerned with the supply of drugs and this is not a case where you are an addict supplying to finance your own addiction; you decided to supply for financial gain."
The judge stressed to Pease's parents, who attended court, that the sentence carried with it a deterrent element.
David Martin, prosecuting, said police watched as a man approached the passenger door of a car, did a transaction with Pease, and put a small silver item in his mouth.
When police moved in they found Pease with eight silver foil drug wraps and, when interviewed, he said he had bought the drugs and it was the first time he had dealt.
Tabitha Macfarlane, defending, stressed her client was not a drug addict.
She said: "Mr Pease started going out with an unsuitable girlfriend. He made new friends, they were criminal associates and he found himself committing crime.
"He became very much embroiled in the world of crime."

“I wouldn't start making "aquactions" simply because I've no idea what an "aquaction" is.
Sounds like something out of Stingray.”
