Bristol teams storm inaugural Cardiff softball tournament

The first ever slow-pitch softball tournament to take place in the Welsh capital was played out over the weekend with the three Bristol teams more than rising to the challenge.  

The Lucky Strikes, Multiple Monkeys and Team Phoenix all did the city proud with the Strikes eventually capturing the Cup and the MMs & Phoenix finishing third and fifth respectively.

The Strikes, now winners of two successive tournaments, took on a team from Manchester in the final which turned out to be a rather one-sided affair but the overall tournament was very competitively played out in challenging conditions. 

The organisers from Cardiff laid on a great weekend which was enjoyed by all the took part. 

The next local tournament is the BSA run 'Bristol Main' to be played over the weekend of the 7th/8th of July attracting teams from all over the country.
