The 2010 softball season will start on April 27, the Bristol Softball Association has announced.

The captains meeting will be held in February, although the date is still to be confirmed​

It has also been announced that there will be some rule changes next year. To explain these a special clinic will be held in 2010, date ito be confirmed - watch this space.

The rule clinic is not an umpire course, but will be geared specifically to players who would like to know more about the rules and also includes the players who think they know all the rules!

As every softball team must have an umpire rostered to their team at the start of the season, umpire courses have been arranged for the following dates:

BASU - Saturday and Sunday, March 27 and 28, 2010 (2 day course)

BLU Saturday, April 10, 2010 (1 day course)

BLU Sunday, April 11, 2010 (1 day course)
