If you're a Bristol Spice Girls fan have always seen yourself in Mel B's famed leopard skin catsuit, now could be your chance to snap it up.

Scary Spice, aka Mel B, is clearing out her cupboards following her move to Los Angeles and auctioning off some of her most treasured possessions to raise thousands of pounds for charity.

Up until October 26, fashionistas are being given the opportunity to bid for items once belonging to the singing star to help raise money for Bristol-based CLIC Sargent.

People can go into any of the charity's shops across the Bristol area and make their sealed bid for Mel B's goodies.

As well as vying for the famous skin tight catsuit, fans will have a chance to bid on five stunning Roberto Cavalli outfits from the recent Return of the Spice Girls tour.

Other iconic items of clothing up for grabs include Mel's original jumpsuit from the first ever Spice Girls live performance in Birmingham, the outfits she wore when she met Prince Charles and Nelson Mandela, her coat from the Stop video and the show-stopping tuxedo Mel wore at the Spice World: The Movie premiere.

The Mel B sale also features priceless items such as a motorbike and Bechstein Baby Grand Piano, as well her famous MTV Cribs dining table and personal copy of Spice World: The Movie.

Mel, a mother of two, decided to help the charity after learning of the work it does to help care for children and young people with cancer and the support it gives their families.

Mel B said: "I feel happy to be able to contribute to such an important cause.

"As a mother, it was important to me to be a part of an organisation that provides clinical, emotional and financial support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.

"Every single one of these items has a personal value to me and I have no doubt that there will be something in the auction for everyone out there. I hope that people have fun bidding on a piece of me."

People who can't make it to a shop can join the online auction at www.melbsale.com until October 26 at 8pm.

Jeremy Lune, head of trading for CLIC Sargent, said: "As well as bidding online for some the more iconic Mel B items, we are offering the public the chance to bag a smaller piece of Mel B's home by visiting their local CLIC Sargent shop.

"This opportunity will undoubtedly offer fanatics a chance to own an invaluable piece of Spice Girls history."

Winning bidders will be contacted on October 27.

CLIC Sargent shops in Cotham Hill, Downend, Fishponds, Keynsham, Kingswood, Shirehampton, Staple Hill, Nailsea, Clevedon, Wells and Weston-Super-Mare are all taking part in the auction.
