And with victory he will now lock horns with Romford's Mark King in the first round.
"I played really well, I felt good today," reflected Trump, now up to No 29 in the provisional world rankings.
"I knew it was going to be a tough match, but I'm playing with a lot of confidence right now, I've been having a good season.
"Last season I wasn't winning my qualifying matches, but this season I have started winning them. It's been a big learning curve for me."
However, at 3-1 down Trump was in trouble as the Dubliner was the better starter.
But the 19-year-old raised his game and won six frames on the spin to establish a commanding 7-3 lead.
Judge reduced his arrears to 8-6, but Trump won the decider with a fine 106 break to qualify for his fifth ranking tournament in a row this season.
"I started a bit slowly, but then I got into my groove. I had some nice breaks," added Trump, who pocketed match runs of 56, 61, 73, 116, 51, 65 and 106.
"It's a great feeling to have qualified for UK (Championship), it's the second biggest tournament in the season behind the World Championship.
"I know it will be tough against Mark King, but I know I can beat him. I'm enjoying playing at the venues, I feel as though it's getting better and better."
