“"It's not the traffic collisions that cause the traffic jams, but rather the exhorbitant number of people driving cars."

Which does include the car I commute to work in.

Remember, I'm not JUST a hypocrite,
    I'm Bristol's BIGGEST hypocrite.”

“No, the resurfacing of Bris Hill is SCHEDULED to be finished before the extra lane closures on the A37. Not quite the same thing.

“The A37 is only a bus lane closure. Not really going to affect anyone diverting down there. The resurfacing on Bris Hill will be finished before any additional lane closures happen on A37.”

“There are major on-going roadworks on the A 37 at Knowle and the A 4 at Brislington is also to undergo major roadworks with Brislington Hill closed entirely in the evenings and overnight shortly.

At Bath Bridge the matrix-type signs advise of the A4's forthcoming disruption and advises an alternative route into the city.

    Yes, you've guessed it - via the A 37.”

“What an incredibly smug thing to say. How wonderfully self-satisfied of you.

No, I'm not being facetious, I genuinely admire the level of condescension you managed to convey. That takes real skill.

I doff my boater to you, sir.”

    “No they don't....

It's not the traffic collisions that cause the traffic jams, but rather the exhorbitant number of people driving cars.

REmember, you are not IN a traffic jam,
    You ARE the traffic jam.”
